For Dombrowski, who retired in June 2022 after a distinguished career at Seattle University, this brings to 22 the number of books he’s authored. In Process Mysticism, Dombrowski “uses the process philosophies of Charles Hartshorne, Alfred North Whitehead, and Henri Bergson to explore mystical religious experiences,” the book’s description reads. Theodore Walker Jr., coauthor of The Big Bang and God: An Astro-Theology, calls the book “among the most important rigorously philosophical and natural scientific appreciations of religious mysticism since William James's The Varieties of Religious Experience.” Dombrowski has also authored two articles in books published by Oxford University Press, one titled “Charles Hartshorne: Animals in Process Thought” and the other “Omnipresence in Process Thought.”
