On August 8, more than 900 Seattle University students, alumni, staff, faculty and friends converged on T-Mobile Park to catch the Seattle Mariners take on East Coast rivals the New York Yankees and, notably, to celebrate President Eduardo Peñalver throwing out the first pitch. It was a meeting of the mascots as Rudy the Redhawk hung out with the Moose! Rudy the Redhawk was on the scene at the pregame reception, located at the Rooftop Boardwalk, and on the field before the game. Staff from the SUAA, Albers and GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) alumni board members visited with alumni and friends and their families throughout the evening.
