Joining the Class of 2022 will be members of the classes of 2020 and 2021, who will get their chance to walk across the stage since COVID-19 scuttled their traditional graduation ceremonies. About this year’s commencement and supporting events: Nearly 2,100 undergraduate and graduate students are expected to walk across the stage—and thousands more in the seats cheering them on! Honorary doctorates will be awarded to U.S. Rep. Sharice Davids, Edward Reese, S.J., and Thomas Reese, S.J. On June 11, celebrate the graduating class at the Baccalaureate Mass, starting at 2 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church (820 18th Ave., Seattle). Various special graduation-related celebrations are planned in the days leading up to commencement, including events for veterans, LGBTQIA+ students, ROTC, Alfie Scholars and more.
