Judge Evanson was nominated last year to the position by President Biden. "We are proud to call Judge Evanson a Seattle University alumnus and wish her the very best as she applies her skills and wisdom as a federal District Judge," says Seattle University President Eduardo Peñalver. Judge Evanson earned bachelor's degrees in foreign languages and University Honors from SU in 1999 and her JD from Georgetown University. She is a partner at Pacifica Law Group in Seattle. From 2009-2011 Evanson was an associate attorney at K&L Gates in Seattle and from 2007-2008 served as a law clerk for Judge Emmet Sullivan on the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. ###
