Seattle University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Family Nurse-Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (PCNP) program prepares you for certification as both a Family and Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. This program provides you with the skillset to bring comprehensive primary care for all ages and populations to a variety of environments. Our Family Nurse-Adult Gerontology PCNP program is for professionals ready to deliver quality health care by expanding their knowledge of advanced nursing practice. The program provides a deep understanding of health care’s complex systems and challenges plus opportunities to apply evidence-based research to practice. Our graduates have an overall board pass rate greater than 95% and capitalize on high employment rates due to demand across the Puget Sound region and the nation.
Graduates of the DNP in Family Nurse-Adult Gerontology Primary Care are eligible to sit for both the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) certification exams offered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB).

The PCNP sample program of study is for students entering the DNP program with an RN and all Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion (APNI) to DNP students who have successfully completed pre-licensure year one.
