Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,
Seattle University will close on Wednesday in observance of Veterans Day. As you take some well-deserved time to rest and recharge, I hope you will join me in reflecting upon the sacrifices made on our behalf by our men and women in uniform. In a particular way, we take pride in the many Seattle University alumni, students, faculty and staff who have served our country with integrity, courage and selflessness.
To honor our veterans a number of virtual campus events have been planned, including among others the Robert Bennedsen Veterans Day 5K and a keynote by U.S. Army veteran and alumnus Mark McLaughlin, ’94. More information on these and other events can be found at Veterans Day Week at Seattle U. Please participate if you can.
This Veterans Day and always, let us join our deep gratitude with prayers for those who have served and are currently serving in the armed forces as well as their families and loved ones.
Sincerely,
Stephen V. Sundborg, S.J.
President
