On Monday, Nov. 11, Seattle University will be closed in observance of Veterans Day. The day has special meaning for our university as many students, alumni, faculty and staff and others affiliated with Seattle U have served, or are serving, in the armed forces. And with our Homecoming celebration taking place over Veterans Day weekend, there are several opportunities to honor our women and men in uniform. 

As we head into a three-day weekend, I invite you to reflect with appreciation upon the men and women who have served and those who continue to serve our nation. Please join me in thanking our veterans for their selfless dedication and the sacrifices they have made and in keeping them and their families in your thoughts and prayers.
