Our recent lab located in Magnuson Park focused on orienteering and terrain association with the intent of assisting Cadets prepare for land navigation at CST. Magnuson Park has a built-in orienteering course. The Brady Battalion utilized this course to refresh and educate its Cadets with the foundations of Land Navigation. The Cadets were broken up into pairs and were given a random order of points. They were then sent out at different times and at different orders to then locate these points. A cipher was also created prior to be able to identify the accuracy of their navigation. After an excellent performance from all the pairs, the Brady Battalion portrayed their high capability for land navigation and their strong understanding of its required skills.
