Joe Blaschka, ’73, has been named the recipient of Seattle University’s 2025 University Service Award for his outstanding contributions to the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department and College of Science and Engineering.
Blaschka’s leadership spans more than four decades, from founding ADCOMM Engineering Company to serving as its Chief Engineer. For more than a decade, he served on the Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisory Board and is its current Board Chair. He is also a member of the Leadership Council for the College of Science and Engineering.
Blaschka is uniquely dedicated to student mentoring within the College of Science and Engineering, where he participates in mid-year project reviews, organizes industry professionals for networking nights, serves on the Best Poster Awards Committee, and attends Projects Day annually.
His commitment to Seattle University’s students, the ECE program, and the Jesuit values of service and integrity is a testament to his extraordinary leadership.
