Working for 15 weeks (from November 2016 through February 2017), participants had to deliver an architecture solution for a website and mobile application for a non-profit organization called the Circle of Caring. The problem statement was to provide a match-making service between families in need of support services with specialized volunteers. Participants had three deliverables that focused on the following: the business side, the architecture solution itself (technical details), and the working environment of the solution.

Key deliverables included Business Requirement Document, Conceptual Architecture, Information Architecture, Software Architecture, Security Architecture, User Experience Architecture, Deployment Architecture, and Technology Stack. Each deliverable, as well as the final open event presentation by each team, was evaluated by a panel of three judges, representing senior professionals from industry.

The competition field consisted of 24 teams registered from 4 states representing 7 University campuses. Each team had a industry practitioner as a mentor; the 24 mentors represented 16 different organizations.

This years' Grand Finale is on Saturday, April 7, 2018.

Good luck to all competitors!
