Our students participate in industry-sponsored projects, working as teams on real problems with external sponsorship. Students follow state of the art software engineering processes and methodologies, develop communication, teamwork, collaboration, and leadership skills, and obtain invaluable technical experience. They also gain opportunities to make a vital impact at small companies, utilize cutting edge technologies, and have a positive influence on the community. A year-long capstone experience is required for all undergraduate students. Graduate students have the option of participating in a two-quarter industry-sponsored capstone as part of the software engineering specialization, or working with a faculty advisor on a research project.
