The Staff Council stands in support of Seattle University’s Black Student Union. We condemn those who used racist and hateful speech to disrupt a recent meeting of BSU.
We affirm that the Black Student Union is a vital student voice against racism in our community, and we thank every member of BSU for their work.
We encourage all staff to join in showing solidarity and support for BSU and to emphatically speak out against racist speech in any place that it occurs.
