Windows 11 Migration to Begin June 28

Windows 11 is here with updated visuals and improved collaboration to support today’s hybrid work environment. Beginning June 28, IT Services will begin rolling out Windows 11 across all SU-owned eligible devices. If you would like to experience it sooner, you can update your system now. If you haven’t upgraded to Windows 11 yet, now is the time to prepare for this transition.

New and exciting features of Windows 11 include inclusive and streamlined video conferencing, multiple desktops, widgets for personalized feeds of information, and much more.

Timeline & Key Dates

• Opt-in period: Now through June 28 | Windows 11 is available for upgrade on eligible devices. Use this time to prepare for the pushed upgrade, reach out to the Service Desk for migration assistance, or choose to upgrade your device now!
  
  
• Automatic system updates: June 28 to August 28 | IT Services will roll out Windows 11 to all eligible university-owned devices. You can expect to upgrade with ease.
