Ignatius of Loyola said, “Love ought to show itself in deeds more than words.” What does the authentic work of racial justice look like on campus beyond statements, declarations and words that sound good?
Join your colleagues for lunch, meaningful reflection and stimulating conversation on the intersection of the Jesuit Catholic mission with the work of racial justice. Responding to the latest issue of the magazine Conversations on Jesuit Higher Education entitled “Ignatian Antiracism and Enhancing US Civic Life,” faculty and staff will reflect on how the Jesuit Catholic mission informs their anti-racist efforts and on their experiences at Seattle University working toward racial justice. The panel will be followed by small group conversation meant to inspire collaboration and deeper integration of the Jesuit Catholic mission and the work of racial justice into your life and work.
RSVP by Tuesday, May 10 to let CJE know whether you plan to attend in person or on Zoom.
