About the author
Radha Friedman is an international bestselling author and a philanthropic advisor specializing in gender justice. She uses her 25 years of experience in nonprofits and global grantmaking to help philanthropists, foundations, nonprofit leaders and corporate giving teams do their most radical (Radha-cal) good. She is on a mission to encourage more investments in women and girls of color and historically marginalized groups who receive less than 2 percent of philanthropic dollars.
Friedman has overseen 100 grants across 60 countries and has worked with some of the largest foundations in the world, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Clinton Global Initiative and MacKenzie Scott’s Yield Giving. Her work has engaged luminaries including the Dalai Lama, former president of Malawi Joyce Banda and actor Kristen Bell. She co-founded the Landesa Center for Women’s Land Rights (winner of the Hilton Humanitarian Prize and Skoll Award) and has been named a fellow by the United Nations, American Express Foundation, Independent Sector and Global Women’s Leadership Network. She is the host of the Radhacal Good Podcast and author of the bestselling book Fundraising Without Burnout: Radically Reimagining Philanthropy to Transform Your Impact. Most importantly, she once carried Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s bag. (True story.)
