Dr. Adolph Reed Lecture on Black Politics

The Departments of Philosophy, Political Science and Sociology-Anthropology, with support from the Mellon Foundation and College of Arts and Sciences Events Committee, are hosting a lecture titled “The Only Thing That Hasn’t Changed About Black Politics Since 1965 is How We Think About It” Dr. Adolph Reed, Jr.

Dr. Reed, a professor emeritus at the University of Pennsylvania, has written extensively about black political thought and American politics. His work has focused on the social inequality and economic insecurity experienced by the Black American working class and the mechanisms that create and sustain inequality. He is a columnist for The Nation and frequently appears in other major national publications.
