Engineers for a Sustainable World Awarded Grant from Washington Native Plant Society

Congratulations to the Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW) student club, with support from Shannon Britton and the SU Grounds team, on their grant from the Washington Native Plant Society! This award will help fund a new rain garden near the Bellarmine Turnaround featuring native plantings chosen by the ESW students. The rain garden will increase ecological biodiversity and provide habitat to birds and pollinators while also creating opportunities for environmental education, community gathering and stormwater management. The project will be completed this fall.
