Hope to Healing: The Care Model

Cost ranges from 0-$75; three CEUs are available and prospective applicants to the MAP degree have free registration.

James Norris, founder of Ithemba Counseling, will provide his own therapeutic model which has been adapted for use in Seattle Public School educator trainings and for use in therapist trainings throughout the Northwest, California and Arizona. In this interactive event, participants will learn about the model as both a theoretical framework and a practical approach that can help them identify and understand their own experiences. 

Ithemba Counseling is a private practice mental health counseling service that serves individuals, couples, families and groups in the African American community. Ithemba is a source that helps people put the pieces of the puzzle of their lives together.

Norris is a former King County correctional officer, arena league pro football player and 2009 Seattle U MAP graduate.
