Invitation to University Community: Participate in Jesuit Province’s Planning Process
Posted: October 19, 2022
The U.S. West Province of the Society of Jesus is undertaking an apostolic planning process. Fr. Sean Carroll, S.J., provincial, is asking “Jesuits and Partners in Mission to stop, look around and notice the ways God is present and at work in our ministries, and to consider the ways God continues to call us and guide us in our work.”
Seattle University, as a work of the Society of Jesus is being invited to participate in this process through spiritual conversation to discern together God’s presence and invitation in our educational project. Our participation will help inform and shape the apostolic planning process of the province and the work of mission integration of our institution.
The Office of Mission Integration will host conversation groups during the month of November.
Participation in a conversation group will involve the following:
- Pre-meeting personal reflection on the topic for conversation
- Participation in a facilitated 60–75-minute small group conversation with colleagues
- An opportunity for participation in a second small group conversation in early 2023
If you are interested in joining one of these conversation groups, please e-mail Eddie Salazar by Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Mission Integration to receive more information.
Thank you for considering adding your voice to this process.
