Move-in Day: Call for Faculty and Staff Volunteers

Dear Campus Partners,
All the energy and excitement of New Student Move-In Day is just around the corner on Saturday, Sept. 17! As incoming Redhawks begin a brave new chapter in their lives, let’s band together to show them what a strong, supportive community they’re locking paths with!
We’re reaching out to faculty, staff and alumni to fill a variety of volunteer roles, including:
- Greeting students and families
- Providing directions and navigation throughout campus
- Helping move belongings from cars to residence halls
Two shifts are available between 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Coffee, beverages, snacks, an SU volunteer shirt and lunch will be provided for volunteers!
Move-In Day is a fun-filled, high-energy day featuring laughs, high-fives and countless smiles. We hope you’ll join us in welcoming the new incoming class – and helping to form those crucial first impressions of SU campus life.
Additionally, please share this message and form far and wide with your teams and colleagues! It is your generous support, time and energy that bring Move-In Day to life and create a positive community experience for our students and their supporters.
After you sign up, members of the Move-In Experience Committee will follow up with more information about roles to fulfill on move-in day, training information and helping to prepare you to help our students be successful in their transition to the Redhawk community!
