During the “Questions and Answers” portion of the conversation, LaTosha Brown was asked, “How come we don’t see more replications of ‘Black Voters Matter’?” To this, Ms. Brown promptly replied, “While we didn’t have ‘Black Voters Matter’ 25 years ago, because we didn’t have any money, we had the idea, we had the passion, and what resources we had, we used them in a similar fashion (referring to previous, smaller groups working for Black Rights) in terms of sharing.”

Brown is an award-winning organizer, philanthropic consultant and political strategist with more than 20 years of experience working in the non-profit and philanthropy sectors on a wide variety of issues related to political empowerment, social justice, economic development, leadership development, wealth creation and civil rights.
