The Crime & Justice Research Center is proud to present its annual continuing education event. The objective of is to provide an overview of chapters from Policing the Black Man: Arrest, Prosecution, and Punishment, featuring Professor Angela J. Davis, editor, accompanied by eight authors from the book who are leading legal scholars to discuss the book’s foci within the context of recent and current cultural context, and to discuss the issues faced in eradicating systemic racism in the criminal legal system. 

The event is open to all. Don’t miss this opportunity! Participants will receive Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits and a continuing education certificate for those in criminal justice, social service or other disciplines. This is a rare opportunity for students, scholars, criminal justice, social service/mental health and legal professionals as well as the general public to learn and engage in dialogue with the authors of Policing the Black Man.
