Sarah Cox Joins SU as Associate General Counsel
Posted: February 3, 2022
Dear Faculty and Staff,
It is with great pleasure that I announce that Sarah Cox has joined the Office of University Counsel as Associate University Counsel. Sarah is replacing David Lance, who transitioned to his new position as Associate Provost in 2021.
Sarah has several years of experience at prestigious law firms in Seattle, most recently working in commercial litigation at Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP. Sarah graduated with high honors from the University of Washington School of Law, where she also served as Managing Editor of the Pacific Rim Law & Policy Journal (now the Washington Journal of International Law). She also completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Washington, where she double majored in Political Science and Journalism.
A Washington native, Sarah lives with her husband, Aaron, and cat, Lily, in West Seattle. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys serving on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit organization Friends of the Children - Seattle, volunteering with the King County Bar Association’s Pro Bono Clinics, rooting for local sports teams, and spending time with friends and family, especially her new nephew.
Please join me in welcoming Sarah to Seattle University.
