You are invited to a compelling conversation exploring the significance of the Abraham Accords with members of the Middle East NGO Sharaka. Sharaka (“partnership” in Arabic) was founded by young leaders from Israel and the Arab Gulf after the signing of the ground-breaking peace agreements reached in 2020 between the United Arab Emirates and Israel, and later Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan. Sharaka’s mission is to turn the vision of peace into a reality through “people-to-people” engagement.
The dynamic delegation from the Middle East and North Africa, which is visiting SU as part of their Pacific Northwest Speaking Tour, will be ready to address current tensions and the Hamas-Israel war and how the Abraham Accords and peace fit into the equation.
This event is being sponsored by the Office of the President and Office of the Provost.
