This Pigott Family Endowment for the Arts Guest Conversation will be moderated by Associate Professor of Art History Ken Allan. All students and faculty are welcome to join us for this talk with these special guests.
- Tania Willard is a mixed Secwépemc and settler artist/curator whose research intersects with land-based art practices and is assistant professor in the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies at University of British Columbia (UBC), Okanagan campus in Syilx territories (Kelowna, BC). Her artistic and curatorial work includes Beat Nation: Art, Hip Hop and Aboriginal Culture at the Vancouver Art Gallery (2012-14).
- Dylan Robinson is a xwélmexw (Stó:lō/Skwah) artist, curator and writer and associate professor in the School of Music, UBC (Vancouver, BC). His book Hungry Listening (U Minnesota Press, 2020), examines Indigenous and settler colonial practices of listening.
