Vigil for Peace in the Middle East

We join Pope Francis in expressing solidarity with the victims of the attacks in Israel over the weekend, and in his prayers for their families, all those living in “terror and anguish” and for peace and healing. 

“Let it be understood that terrorism and war do not lead to any resolutions, but only to the death and suffering of so many innocent people.”

• Join Campus Ministry in praying for peace and healing in Israel and Palestine on Thursday, Oct. 12, 5:30 p.m. at the reflection pool near the Chapel of St. Ignatius. All are welcome.

• Q&A on the Israel-Hamas War: Earlier in the day (Oct. 12), student questions will drive this informal, lunchtime conversation from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in room 307 of the Administration Building. Associate Professor of History and International Studies Nova Robinson will use the history of the conflict and the region to answer questions. This event is free and open to all SU community members. (Bring your own lunch.)
