Amelia, chosen name Alex, Bohls (they/them/theirs), identifies as a white agnostic nonbinary person. They boast a 4.00 GPA at a very good public high school. Alex will have completed five AP courses upon graduation from Lakeridge. Alex is a remarkable candidate for our nursing program. They have already completed their certified nursing assistant (CNA) license; Alex is the youngest CNA at a healthcare facility where they work a 24 hour/week job as a nurse's assistant. Their essay centered on coming into a better sense of identity and empowerment through their realization that they did not identify with the gender they were assigned at birth. Alex is also the captain of the Lakeridge bowling, pickleball, and tennis teams. They wrote oneof the most clear and persuasive nursing interest essays and have set a very clear intention on a career in nursing.
