Elijah Beverley attends Jesuit High School in Sacramento, CA and plans to major in Computer Science. He has distinguished himself at his high school as a scholar-athlete committed to service and justice work. In addition to being an impressive soccer player who received the Varsity All American Student Athlete award, Elijah is a member of the Black Student Union, a member of the NAACP Youth Council and many different service organizations. On top of his many achievements, he also writes poetry. He reflects on his leadership in the Black Student Union by stating that “I have learned my voice has power and it has inspired others to be vulnerable in sharing their stories as well”.
