Morgan Burdick graduated from Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bellevue, WA. In high school, she was active in student government and Junior Statesmen of America. Morgan also spent her junior year living and studying in Lima, Peru. Morgan worked extensively with Agros, an NGO that provides micro-loans for migrant farmers in Central America. She led service trips and helped with fundraising. She was also active with PATH, a global health NGO, she helped with fundraising and visited PATH projects in several countries. Morgan was also a K-12 Girl Scout and helped lead younger troops in English and Spanish.
Morgan’s favorite on campus experience has been peer advising with Matteo Ricci College. Off campus, Morgan has been working as a case manager in SeaTac with primarily immigrant populations. She also helped enroll immigrants, primarily Spanish-speakers, in the Affordable Care Act. She is also a sexual health educator with Lifelong AIDS Alliance, which focuses on queer youth, and helps them provide resources to Seattle’s queer homeless youth. Morgan is an avid traveler of the global south, especially South Asia. Morgan studied Urdu in Lucknow, India and then spent the following six months practicing Urdu and learning Hindi while working with an NGO focused on Muslim women’s health. She then spent three months in very remote, Himalayan Nepal teaching English at a girls’ boarding school. Morgan is also an aspiring yogi and certified yoga teacher.
