Summer Diegel graduated from Capital High School in Helena, MT, where she was Captain of the Speech and Debate Team for 2 years and Vice President of the Senior Student Council. Summer was a member of the National Honor Society and Planned Parenthood Teen Council and served as President of TRIO’s Upward Bound Program. She volunteered with Americorps and Habitat for Humanity and served on her community’s Health Advisory Board. Summer served as Vice President for National Region 5 SkillsUSA where she met with senators and house officials in Washington, DC to discuss funding for career and technical education. She also worked part-time as a Certified Nurse Assistant.
Summer recently joined the Ventures team as the bookkeeping specialist. Ventures is a nonprofit that empowers individuals with limited resources and unlimited potential to improve their lives through small business ownership, and Summer really enjoys her work within the office and the broader Seattle community. She is a Comparative Religion major looking into a double major in some type of Business. She is still exploring the many opportunities available and is excited to find her niche. The Sullivan community has made her feel welcome and helped her to challenge herself and grow within her interests and outside of her comfort zone.
