Dylan Berman (he/him) identifies as a White Agnostic man. Dylan has put together a nearly spotless academic record inside of a solid college preparatory curriculum. He is an outstanding writer and public speaker. In the midst of the Sullivan competition, he earned nearly perfect scores on both his Leaders' Day essay and his finalist speech from the three panelists who rated him on each component. His choice of major, and passion for advocacy through the telling of others stories are a clear alignment of aspirations with gifts. Dylan is the co-editor in chief of his school's newspaper, a member of the debate club, a member of a selective arts program at his high school focused on music, a member of the National Honor Society, and has won multiple awards for filmmaking and his journalistic writing. It is worth noting that Dylan takes tremendous pride in his rural roots and his opportunity to do well for his very rural community. Dylan indicates that his post-college goal is to become a writer and/or journalist.
