Matthew Heffel graduated from El Toro High School in Lake Forest, CA. He participated in ASB for 4 years, serving as Freshman and Sophomore Class Representative, Secretary, and Senior Class President. Matthew was a member of the basketball team and received his third degree black belt in Taekwondo. He served as club officer for Team Thomas with the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, and was a member of the Invisible Children Club to promote awareness about “kadogo,” child soldiers in Africa. Matthew was an officer for the Golden Chargers Club, through which he worked with the elderly population in his community, and was President of GeoCC, a club dedicated to promoting unity and togetherness through nature hikes and geocaching.
Matt is first year student studying Finance at Seattle University. He’s involved with the Bellarmine Hall Council as well as the business club, Enactus, through which he has committed to a year-long non-profit consulting project. He loves all the community outreach and service opportunities that have been made available to him at SU.
