This virtual Carpool permit is valid from 6am-midnight until the permit expires on days the SU carpool drives to campus as a carpool group. The carpool leader who is purchasing this virtual permit is the primary driver for the carpool, and the carpool permit is only valid on the carpool leader's vehicle. The carpool leader will only use the carpool permit on their vehicle, and may only drive to campus alone one day each week. Carpool member(s) will purchase Carpool Supplemental Permits for use on their vehicle(s) when they drive to campus.
A physical permit will not be issued, instead a virtual permit is created using the license plate(s) the Carpool Leader registered. Please ensure you have registered the vehicle(s) that you are driving to campus with accurate license plate information for the permit to be validated in the new virtual permit parking enforcement system.
The Carpool Supplemental permit represents the total amount of visits to campus a carpool member can make alone or with the carpool leader riding in their vehicle (one day per week during the semester/quarter for the length of the carpool permit). When arriving to campus and using the Carpool Supplemental Permit, it is the responsibility of the carpool partner to purchase the permit in iParq to have a valid permit for the date of parking on campus.
Carpool Leaders may only park in the Pigott Visitor Lot before 3pm when 2 members are arrving to campus in the vehicle together.
Carpool Supplemental Permits are valid for the Pigott Visitor Lot (12th and Marion) before 3pm Monday-Friday only if 2 or more members are present in the vehicle. Failure to follow the University parking rules and regulations may result in revocation of parking privileges.
