Admission Timeline and Deadlines

Junior Year

• February 
  • If you're not receiving mail from Seattle University, join our mailing list.
• March 
  • Start visiting campus during your spring break. You can arrange a campus visit any time of the year here.
• May / June
  • Take the SAT and/or ACT for the first time if you intend to submit test scores. 
• August
  • Attend Seattle U's Summer Preview event.

Senior Year

• September / October / November
  • Meet with the Seattle University representative when they visit your school. Check out our "Seattle U Near You" portal for specific dates.
• October / November
  • Repeat the SAT or ACT exams if you intend to submit test scores.
  • Seattle University takes the highest sub-scores from these tests.
• October
  • Request counselor and teacher recommendation letters on your behalf.
• Late October / early November
  • Attend Seattle University Fall Preview Day.
• November 15 
  • Early Action deadline. Apply online through the Common Application.
• November 30
  
  • Sullivan Leadership Award: Application Deadline
• Mid-December
  • Early Action notification date: students who successfully completed their application through Early Action will be notified of their admissions decision via their Application Portal. Students selected to receive an institutional merit scholarship will be notified at the time of their acceptance. 
• January 1 - February 1
  • Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). FAFSA due by February 1.
• January 15 
  • Regular Decision deadline. Apply online through the Common Application.
• Early March
  
  • Students who successfully completed their application through Regular Decision will be sent an admission decision in early March. Students selected to receive an institutional merit scholarship will be notified at the time of their acceptance.
• Late March / Early April
  • Admitted Student Regional Receptions for out-of-state students.
• April
  • Admitted Student Days - These give you another opportunity to meet faculty, staff, and current students.
• May 1 (June 1 for 2024 first-year applicants)
  • Enrollment Deposit Deadline - Deposits must be postmarked by this date for fall term enrollment at Seattle University.
• September
  • Welcome Week and Fall quarter begins in late September.
