Transfer students who complete an admissions application to Seattle University are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships, which typically start at $8,000. These scholarships are renewable for up to four years and are based on the information in the admissions application, not family finances. And we guarantee that any amount you receive as an institutional gift will remain constant for the duration of your degree.

The Alfie Scholars Program offers a scholarship and special programing for underrepresented community college transfer students with the desire to become civility leaders who effect positive social change. In addition to the $30,000 scholarship, distributed over two years, the Alfie Scholars Program provides civility leadership training, intensive summer programing, and individual advising to help its scholars

Seattle University aspires to be the preferred transfer destination for Seattle Promise students. As such, any Seattle Promise student completing their DTA or AS-T with a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA is guaranteed admission to Seattle U.
Additionally, admitted Seattle Promise students enrolled in the Washington State College Bound Scholarship program that complete a DTA or AS-T with a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA are eligible to receive full tuition awards to Seattle University. Fostering Scholars is a full scholarship and program of support awarded to eligible students currently in or who aged-out of the foster care system. Recipients receive financial, academic, and personal support towards the completion of an undergraduate degree at Seattle University. For more information, visit the Fostering Scholars website.

A FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be filed for EACH YEAR a student wants to be considered for financial aid eligibility. A new FAFSA is available each year on October 1st and asks for financial data from two years ago.
Complete the Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) and find out what you may be eligible for. Priority deadline is February 1st; students who file the WASFA after that date may still be considered based on available funding.
1-on-1 appointments are available in case students have specific questions, need guidance or support, or are interested in going over their financial aid award with a financial aid counselor.
