Happy New Year, Seattle U Content Editors:
A few announcements:
Farewell Jason
As you may have read in your email yesterday, Jason Beardriel, our Web Communications Manager, will be leaving Seattle U after 10 years – his last day is next week, on Thursday, January 23rd. We are going to miss him and his great stewardship of the entire Seattle U web universe.
Until Jason’s replacement comes on board, the MarCom Web Team will have a very limited bandwidth. So we apologize in advance if we’re unable to take on new projects for a while or if we’re unable to respond to your emails and phone calls as quickly as we normally would, and we deeply appreciate your patience, understanding and grace with us during this transition period.
Follow-up to the Fall Forum on Accessible Documents
The slide deck from the 19FQ Web Forum on Creating Accessible Documents for the Web has been posted to our website.
Website accessibility is a legal requirement for Seattle U so as a content editor of the Seattle U website, you are responsible for knowing this information, so if you weren’t able to attend the forum on December 10th, please make sure you check out the slides and learn more about how to create accessible Microsoft documents (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and accessible PDFs for your website.
New Content Types
Additionally, at the fall forum, we announced four new content types that we’ve just rolled out and are available to content editors, including:
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out!
We can’t do this without your partnership, so as always, thank you for everything you do to keep the Seattle U websites up-to-date, accessible and looking great!
