Happy Winter 2019, Content Editors!
The MarCom Web Team has a few announcements we’d like to share:
Web Accessibility – Video now available!
Last quarter, the Web Team held our first quarterly forum on Website Accessibility. If you were not able to attend in person, you can now watch a captioned video of the information presented during the forum and download the slide deck on the Web Team’s web page of resources on Accessibility.
As a content editor, you are responsible for knowing this information. If you did not attend the forum in person, please carve out some time and watch the video (23 minutes).
New “How To” Articles
We’ve recently published a few new “How To” articles on the Web Team website that we’d like to share with you:
- Create a hidden link section
- Create a new image variant in the Media Library
- Insert an anchor link
- Link to a Media Library item in someone else’s folder
- Resolve an error
- Update a PDF in the Media Library
We hope you will find these new resources helpful.
Coming Soon: Some New Visual Changes
In the next couple of weeks, we will be rolling out a couple new visual changes based on your feedback.
New Option for Infographic
Based on your requests, we will be adding an optional image field to the infographic content type so that you will be able to add badges or small images instead of an icon above the heading in the infographic. For example:
New Design for Title Banner
Also based on your feedback, we will be rolling out a new design for the title banner content type in which the text box will move from being on top of the banner image to being below the banner image. When we roll out this change, all title banners will automatically change to this design, and no action will be necessary on your part. For example:
If you have any questions or concerns about these announcements, please let us know.
As always, thanks for everything you do keeping your Seattle U websites accessible, up-to-date, and looking great!
Best wishes,
The MarCom Web Team
